Freethought and Jolt merge

We are thrilled to announce that Freethought has merged with fellow hosting provider Jolt under the new banner of Freethought Group.

The merger is a significant milestone in the history of both companies, which share common roots in Lincoln. Freethought, founded by Kieran Jones and Edward Dore, has been providing hosting and other IT related services for over 20 years, while Jolt has been providing 5-star hosting and become a well-known name in the city of Lincoln and beyond.

This merger is great news for customers of both companies as it allows us to draw on our collective strengths to further enhance the customer experience. Both companies will continue to exist as they always did, but thanks to the merger Freethought customers will now get to enjoy 24/7/365 technical support as well as live chat support in the near future, whilst Jolt customers get to reap the benefits of the group's existing ISO 9001 and 27001 certifications for quality management and information security, as well as becoming carbon neutral through our environmental partner Ecologi, a Fair Tax Accredited organisation, and a Living Wage Employer.
