Planting trees every month 🌳
Having planted 5000 trees in December, and another 700 in January, we are now making our tree planting pledge a permanent feature. We'll plant trees for every order placed, and have planted another 459 - taking our total number of trees planted to 6,300 trees!
In December 2019 we announced that we have partnered with Offset Earth to ensure that Freethought is as climate positive as possible, and we kicked off that relationship by planting 5000 trees and offsetting 100 tonnes of CO2 emissions. At the same time, we also committed to planting trees for every order placed up until the end of January 2020, which resulted in us planting over 700 more trees.
Well, since we began our tree planting pledge we have been overwhelmed by the positive feedback and it is clear to us that our customers really value this environmental committment coupled with our overall ethical business practices. With that in mind, we are delighted to announce that our tree planting pledge is now a permanent feature! For every order placed we'll plant extra trees, which you can then see in our company's forest on the Offset Earth website.
We have now gone back through to our February and March orders and have planted another 459 trees in Madagascan mangrove reforestation projects, taking our total number of trees planted so far to over 6,300 trees! This is a truly incredible impact we're having and we're delighted with the support we're getting from our customers to make this possible.
